Apply For The Employee Retention Credit

Businesses can still apply the ERC through an amended Form 941X if they are eligible employers for the quarters that they were in. The Employee Retention Credit can only be claimed by amending a business’s quarterly IRS tax returns. It is calculated based on the wages that were paid to its employees in 2020 or 2021. A government order may limit the operations of a business, causing it to close or imposing capacity restrictions on its business. A business that has seen a significant decline of revenue in any quarter since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2021 may be eligible for the ERC.
